Bodegas Krontiras

The winery Krontiras was started in 2003 by husband-and-wife team Constantino and Silvina Krontiras. Constantino originally from Greece, fell in love with Silvina and her homeland of Argentina, and the two decided that the landscape and climate of the Valle de Uco would be the perfect place to nestle their wine project.  With help from Oenologist Anos Zoumboulis, Krontiras grew into a fully biodynamic and Demeter certified natural wine production, with an impressive range of natural wines.

The winery itself is designed based on theories of ancient “scared geometry” such as the golden ratio φ (1.618) and π (3.14). The winery also uses materials such as straw as insulation to save energy while maintaining a connection with tradition. The focus on details like this are what set Krontiras a part, and their love for wine shines through in the quality of the wines that they produce.
